A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a branch will bear fruit. The spirit of the Lord will rest on him - the spirit of understanding, the spirit counsel and of power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord - And he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with Justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Rightousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
Our Mission
Jesse's Tree provides transitional housing, life skills training, support services and access to community resources for yound men and women and their children. Jesse's Tree provides a bridge between foster care and independence for our clients who are wards of the state, by teaching them the practical living skills needed to make the transition into adulthood.
Our Program
Our program begins by situating the client in a supervised furnished apartment. Jesse's Tree provides or assists our clients in locating reduced cost child care, employment, enrolling into school or GED classes. Jesse's Tree provides transportation for our clients while in the program. Jesse's Tree is a comprehensive program of services and training for our clients as well as a resource for post care services upon graduation from our program. Our program consists of drug/alcohol counseling, practical living skills training programs. Jesse's Tree offers parenting and prenatal classes as well as strength based gender specific programs. Jesse's Tree offers positive affirmation, friendship, guidance and good role models for our clients. Jesse's Tree also offers services to the general public. These services include: Thrift Store/Clothing Exchange. Jesse's Tree is open to the public Monday-Friday 9 am--5 pm and Saturday 10 am--2 pm or by appointment.
